Off-Season Speed Development Program

A comprehensive 4 or 8-week program for athletes aged 13+ looking to improve speed, running mechanics and conditioning during the off-season.

The program combines performance testing, biomechanical analysis and individualised training, with athletes completing their own program within a coached small-group environment.

Program Details

  • 21 September – 20 December

  • Moorabbin Athletics Track

  • Ages 13+

  • Flexible start dates

  • 4 or 8-week options

  • Access to up to 3 coached sessions per week

    • Tuesday and Thursday evenings + Saturday mornings

  • Sessions run for 60–75 minutes

  • Athletes can attend all three weekly sessions and complete their individual program under the guidance of our coaches

What You’ll Get

  • Initial Performance Testing: 0–20m acceleration, 20m flying sprint/max speed and 1.6km or 2km aerobic assessment

  • Comprehensive Running & Sprint Analysis: Detailed analysis to identify technical strengths and key areas for improvement

  • Individualised Training Program: Based on testing results, sporting demands, training background and development priorities

  • Coached Speed Training: Acceleration, maximum speed, sprint mechanics, speed endurance and running efficiency

  • Aerobic Conditioning: Structured running sessions to improve conditioning and training capacity
