Meet the Coaches

Davey Loughman

Davey is a performance coach and nutrition coach with a strong background in athletic development, rehab-based performance training, and speed development. Originally from Ireland, Davey began his career in the health and fitness industry nearly a decade ago, working as a fitness instructor and personal trainer with clients of all ages and experience levels.

Driven by a passion for improving performance through a holistic approach, Davey expanded his knowledge into performance nutrition, completing further study to better understand the role nutrition plays in recovery, body composition, and athletic output. Alongside this, he developed experience delivering strength and conditioning programs within the GAA system before relocating to Australia to further pursue opportunities in the sports performance industry.

Since moving to Australia, Davey has continued to build his coaching approach through ongoing professional development, mentorships, seminars, and hands-on experience across a variety of sporting environments. He has developed a particular interest in integrating rehab principles with speed and athletic development, especially within the GAA and field sport communities.

Davey works with athletes and general population clients across a wide range of goals, including speed development, return-to-performance rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, body composition, and nutrition coaching. He also has experience supporting endurance athletes and combat sport athletes with performance nutrition leading into competition.

Having played and been involved in multiple sports including GAA, Australian Rules Football, basketball, soccer, and running, Davey brings a practical and athlete-centred approach to coaching, focused on building long-term performance, resilience, and confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness

  • Diploma in Performance Nutrition

  • ASCA Lv 1 ( Current)

  • Ongoing Professional Development through seminars, workshops, and mentorships
